Panasonic Toughbook U1
The U1 Ultra-Mini PC (UMPC) is a complete resource running on the new Intel Atom processor, Windows XP or Vista on fully compatible with any PC application. Along with standard safety components Toughbook, as withstand a fall of four feet on the concrete, the device can be a winner among doctors and nurses wards.
What does the U1 particularly suitable for health care is a combination of the design considerations put into it. Due to the cooler, more efficient Intel Atom processor, the U1 has ventilation ports through fluids that can enter. The device is effective sealed, Panasonic and claims which could have a good and continuing to spend. Its not completely waterproof.
The screen is 5.6 inches and is fully touch meaning that can be controlled with your finger, not only the pen as many pills out there requires. Optionally, you can come with a barcode scanner, which can be used for the tracking device or drug, and a built-in webcam, which we anticipate will be used in a communication system between doctors in a futuristic the ward.
Not that this is a good substitute for a general real laptop, since it only has 1 GB of RAM and reaches up to 32 GB to drive a solid state, but it’s good to have all data and tomographic images of the patient Wireless accessible at the bedside.
