Sony Ericsson Kurara

When it comes to smartphones, Sony Kurara will be definitely among the best. Even if it has not appeared yet on the market, the officials from Sony Ericsson Corp. say that this phone will be just… perfect.

Why? Well, here are some specifications. First of all, the characteristics of the camera are just amazing: 8 mega pixels in one phone. Second, the processor is a powerful Cortex A8 at 600 Mhz, which has included 256 MB Ram, and a PowerVR SGX chipset. It is just amazing. This phone is like a notebook!

And hold on cause this is nothing: among the other features, Sony Kurara will be able to support GPS functions and also, it will have an unique feature, a USB port. Yes, it’s correct. And wait, there is more: HSDPA, Wi-Fi, will also be included.

Sony Kurara seems to compete with the Iphone from Apple. Though, I think that this gadget will have some advantages, besides the one already mentioned. First of all, the price will be medium, about 500 euros. Second, it will be way smaller than an Iphone, and also, it will come from a powerful manufacturer like Sony Ericsson, which in some countries –especially the European ones- is more popular than Apple.

Nokia N97 Mini

According to the specialists, the new Nokia N97 Mini is exactly how Nokia N97 should have been from the start. Though, this gadget it’s not an improved of the Nokia N97. No, it’s an alternative.

Even if there are some similarities between these 2 phones, they are quite different.
First of all, this gadget has a QWERTY keyboard, fact that reduces quite drastically the size, and it offers an elegant appearance. The buttons and the screen are a little bit smaller than they used to be at Nokia N97, but I guess it is better this way.

When it comes to specifications, the new Nokia N97 will come equipped with 8GB of internal memory and with a GPS system. The operating system is the same Symbian 9.4. Until now, nothing negative. But, here comes the problem: with a battery of just 1200 Ah, the Nokia N97 Mini will remain out of battery in no more than 2 days, fact that might affect in a negative way the people who travel a lot.

So, which one of Nokia N97 and Nokia N97 mini is the best? Even if the Mini version might look as weaker than its “father”, due to the fact that it is easier to be used and that it offers an improved operating systems, I guess that Nokia N97 Mini is better.
